Cartoon Network’s Almost Naked Animals

Almost Naked Animals, in a weird way, strikes me as the modern day version of Red & Stimpy. So many people seem to be familiar with this cartoon, but it was new to us. The characters roam around in their underwear and are completely over-the-top. In a lot of ways, my kiddo reminds me of the cartoon characters because it is a rare occasion that she will wear anything but her underwear while we’re at home.

The fam and I received a Banana Cabana welcome package, which included a I <3 duck tote bag ($18), a t-shirt ($17), whoopee cushion, coaster ($7), journal ($11), and of course, the DVD. You can find plush toys, keychains, bouncy balls and other items via the Cafepress store.
My daughter had an absolute blast with the whoopee cushion. When I was young, my dad used to buy me all kinds of gag gifts like hand buzzers, rattlesnake envelopes, fart machines (I shake my head as I type this) and yes, whoopee cushions. It was kind of nice to have that inter-generational connection. Unfortunately for the kiddo (not for us – lol), she somehow poked a hole in the cushion, so her fun was short-lived.
The first volume of Almost Naked Animals will be available on DVD for $6.99 as of September 25th! Look for it at Target and other retailers. Characters include Howie, his sister/rival Poodle, her side-kick Batty, and many others. You’ll never find a more eclectic bunch of hotel employees.
If you like quirky cartoons, definitely check it out! I personally felt the cartoon was more appropriate for older children. Perhaps 10 and up.
Disclosure: I received the above-mentioned items to facilitate my review. All opinions are my own.
