Pillsbury Artisan Pizza Crust

My family and I love pizza. We particularly enjoy Papa Murphy’s and Abby’s, both of which have the best pizza I have ever had (aside from California Pizza Kitchen, anyway). Papa Murphy’s is affordable, but we normally go for the ginormous 5lb pizza, eliciting groans from the Spanx…and Abby’s, well… they’re pretty expensive. I can make pizza dough from scratch, except time is a premium. Though I’ve dramatically changed how I eat, I do have my cravings for biscuits and rolls. I grew up eating Pillsbury and their Artisan Pizza Crust certainly didn’t disappoint.

When you think 16 grams of whole grain per serving, “dry” and “sawdust” may come to mind. That was not my experience. I do prefer a softer crust, so I didn’t pre-bake it. My fiance normally likes thin and crispy crusts and surprisingly, he didn’t complain. Well I’ll be.

Once you take a look at this, you’re going to go hunt it down in the grocery store.

In the words of my friends, “MMMMMMHMMMMM!!”

I wanted to go for the Sicilian style pizza with fresh mozzarella and basil, except I didn’t want to make an extra trip to the grocery store (what can I say? I forgot!), so it is what it is. That pizza looked pretty darn good and it required very little effort. I was a good girl, though! The old me could have easily snarfed (you know, like Garfield) that pizza, and I didn’t, so I was mighty proud of that, too. As much as I’d love to be the next Pillsbury dough-girl, I don’t even want to say what would happen if someone poked me in my belly. ;) The “jolly” has its limits, ya know.
