Travelers Choice NC190 Headphones by AblePlanet

I spend a lot of time at the computer between homework, blogging, gaming (World of Warcraft), and listening to music. Sometimes I just need to drown out the excess noise in the room. The air conditioner’s going, my fiance’s on his computer, the TV’s on, and my daughter excessively chanting, “Mama, Mama, Mama” can get to be a little too much. Moms know what it’s like to not have “me” time — especially when we are stretched in so many different directions. Sometimes you can’t help but wish you could have something to drown out the noise!
I was recently presented the opportunity to review the the award-winning Travelers Choice NC190 Headphones by AblePlanet and they are fantastic! The sound is crisp, I can enjoy great bass, I can wear it for an extended amount of time with no pain and discomfort, and it offers state-of-the-art noise cancellation. To give you an example, when I had the headphones on, I was able to focus. I didn’t even realize my family was trying to talk to me until they tapped me on my shoulder. If you like to study while listening to music at the library, simply fold it up and put it in the enclosed bag. With regular headphones, there is concern about breakage. With fold-able ones — hardly! I’ll be visiting graduate schools next month and well into the fall term, so they’re going to be wonderful on the plane. They do require a AAA battery, but only one!
The only gripe I have about these headphones is the in-line volume control. It’s closer to the jack and I’d actually prefer it to be closer to my face. It’d be even better if it was adjustable.
At $79.99, I think it’s a great deal. Now I’m eager to know how much better the gaming headsets are.
