Tail Towns Friends: Social Gaming Review & Giveaway
| July 26, 2012 | Filed under Sponsored |
Farmville fanatics, beware! There’s a new Facebook game in town and it has all the elements of drama: intrigue, treachery, and forbidden love.
The difference? Tail Towns Friends has much better graphics and it weaves in some interesting content. Take the following for example:
RENE: “But then things got..complicated. Like a Rubik’s Cube wrapped in a Sudoku covered in Duct Tape.”
GRACE: “If years of Botox hadn’t dried up my tear ducts, I would cry each time I issued a new certification.”
Know what else?
Registering the collectible Tail Towns™ figurine gives you rewards in the game AND opens up hidden storylines. Aren’t they adorable? Kinda reminds me of Stuart Little and The American Tail, but CUTER!

If you prefer interactive stories and actually read the content, you can easily pass the time in between appointments, classes, and *ahem*, your lunch break.

You can also create the ultimate getaway. People play MMO’s not only because the graphics are fantastic, but also because they can use their imaginations to live in a fantasy world. It’s a place of respite in a virtual world with opportunities to accumulate massive amounts of capital. Facebook games like Tails Towns provide the very same opportunities without the monthly subscriptions.
Here’s a screenshot from the game:

As you can see, the format is similar to most other Facebook games you might have played. The first few levels will take you through the basics, one “quest” at a time. By the time you reach level three, you’ll be able to tackle multiple quests while unveiling the drama.
Here’s an interesting statistic. Over 70% of social gamers are FEMALE (gold.insidenetwork.com/facebook, July 2010). This is actually pretty amusing because people are often surprised when I tell them that I’m a gamer. There seems to be this perception that women neither approve of nor play video games. If there are more female Facebook users than males, then this statistic makes sense. Perhaps it is deemed more socially acceptable for women to play Facebook games than men.
What’s your theory?
Oh, and wait! One of my readers in the U.S. can score their very own figurine! Here’s the only requirement: DESCRIBE your DREAM GARDEN or COUNTRY GETAWAY in a tweet using the HASHTAG #TailTowns and then come back and report your URL. You can enter as many times as you want, but of course, please do not enter multiple times using the same URL and, more importantly, be respectful of your followers! Nobody likes spam…Well, maybe we can make an exception for Spam Musubi.
