Help me meet my #BFF at #Brandcation!

The summer of 2008, I made the decision to go back to school. I didn’t know how I was going to pay for it, but I figured starting at the community college would be cheaper in the long run. I invested $100 in a scholarship essay writing class, which helped me secure one of 46 scholarships that were awarded from a pool of 621 applicants. I am now a McNair Scholar at my university, preparing the best portfolio possible to apply to PhD programs. In fact, I’ll be taking the GRE next month because I’ll be submitting applications this Fall.
I haven’t had a break since 2008. If I’m not at school, I’m doing homework. If I’m not doing homework, I’m cleaning. If I’m not cleaning, I’m blogging. Sometimes I am volunteering and most times I am trying to manage the demands of being a parent and head of my household.
When the Brandcation tickets first became available, I was telling my BFF that this trip would be in perfect timing because I will be frazzled from going through the grueling process of applying to ten different graduate programs. I was scrambling for sponsored posts and even considered donating plasma for cash, except I didn’t have to because those tickets were G-O-N-E. LOL.
I get it, though. I have heard ALL about the FUN. If chosen to go, I wouldn’t need a place to sleep because I don’t plan to. Girls Gone Wild has nothin’ on me! (OK, I’m just kidding. I promise to keep my clothes on.)
I’d love the opportunity to learn about brands and talk to other people who are just as passionate about blogging as I am. I have so much to learn and would love to make some life-long friends.
The biggest motivator for me is my BFF. My BFF is an incredible person and you know what? We’ve never met! That’s right. We ran a nonprofit together and shared all kinds of experiences without having met face-to-face. It’d be like meeting my long lost sister. Help me meet her?
